Hello! and welcome all new comers! I'm Sacred Sage and my current project is Selara. This is my second protect so I have learned a lot since I first started working on my last VN Reclusive Bay.
The main story takes place eighty years after leaving Earth when you wake up from cryostasis in the middle of an uprising. You are the new commander of a ship called The Herald. Now it's up to you to save humanity while also earning the trust of your crew members. As the story progress you find out that the uprising is the least of your worries.
There are no wrong choices in Selara. Also you can't succeed every choice. You will fail them too depending on stats. That is not a bad thing though. You never know what will come from a failed attempt, you may like that outcome better.

Os this Romance, Poly or Harem?
Relationship, or in some cases 2. But no harem. Reclusive Bay is harem.
I might check that one out then, thanks. I find Romance/Monogamy AVNs just too constraining unless there is one or two standout exceptional LI's that exalt themselves above all others.... or even just one or two mediocre, average LI's.... among a bunch of wholly unappealing ones.

That's reasonable. Selara each girl has their own personality, and also kinks. I know that's not everyone's jam but it's the direction I wanted to try in Selara.
Daz3d question, Hair problem rumble video, surely if you have one of the poses and set the clothing to auto fit onto the puppet, head etc... stuff like the hair issue on one of your rumble, should not be a problem, or does the hair and clothing problem always continue.
There must be a way to set puppet +3mm, on top muscles +3mm and on top of that skin +3mm .... and the +3mm virtual 3D spacing as if it is a air layer / error correction in between + some more stretch option for the fabric, skin, hair, tattoo, armor ....
There must be some anchor to tie it too the puppet frame like this.
Then build the character once, set pose or auto pose animation or accurig , from free puppets and all should stretch and fit across all character movements.
Same with free facial expression, and only hair style change for say female character.
I am not intelligent enough to do what you do.

Not sure what video you are talking about or what programs I was using. if its talking about the hair from daz to houdini to unreal engine. Its the best way. if you are referring to the physics its a learning thing for sure. If it's neither ill need more details. ^^

Critical error bug: Can not proceed = frustrated.
Stuck at... talk to Naledi, ??? there is no Naledi.
There is no ceremonial knife, so can not get it.
Read Amelias message and then gets stuck in that message thing and no freaking way out of that, clicked everything 30x times already, exit power button icon never lights up.
Restarted this process 12x and click everything including every dust and grass pixel on the screen and nothing changes.
Maybe better to leave out this stupid phone / message center annoying stuff, as it does not add anything to the game.
Oh and whats up with the old hag pulling the cart and no one can help her .. ? Why have this useless thing there if it does not add anything to the story or progress.
Can someone upload a game save, so I can get past this bug in the game ?
Yes, I am aware of both these problems and they have both been fixed. When I push the next update they will be corrected. I PERSONALLY fucked up the coding of the knife XD total beginner scrub error. The other is due to renpy being updated from 8.2 to 8.5. I understand that may sour your experience and I do apologize on that. It is extremely difficult to catch everything. :) So thanks for taking the time to actually respond with feedback. ^^
As for a game save. You are at the end basically. Only maybe 3 to 5 minutes left. I am sure their are saves floating around however. XD Also loved the response of the old lady and the cart. XD It was my version of a "quest" it didnt really needed to be done.
Hey don't beat yourself up, you did amazing job, great story, delicious graphics, so this is not a big deal despite how some Karens comments on here.
I am proud of you, this is at least 120% vs most other vn's at 75% - 83% out of the last 638 VN's I have explored.

I couldn't continue playing after about 15 minutes. The writing turned me off so much. Perhaps it's the google translations that causes it but it felt like the script was written by a teenager that likes to over explain things way too much and use way too many words to do it. The MC felt like one of those teenagers that endlessly talk and never shuts up.

SOrry for the late response. Probably not for a while. Real job busy. Plus censorship of NSFW stuff. On top of creating a 3D game and streaming. I still work on it weekly but not much. It will eventually be posted and I know this is not the reply you were hoping for. :(
No wonder you become quite I thought you abandoned it.
Muting the voice acting doesn't seem to work. Tried both doing so during the scene, and muting them from the main menu before starting a new game. Tried both options (I assume Muted = white/selected, like the other options, but checked just in case). The only way to shut down the AI voices is to turn the voice slider down entirely.
I'll look into it as soon as I have time. Full time job currently sucking all my time away dealing with hurricane clean up.

It was easier than I thought. Just checked and tested so the next update I have out will have it installed. For Itch, not the upcoming update, but the following one.

I have to say the voices used for Selara are not that annoying at all.... I have heared so much worse. But I can see why ppl want to turn it off. I appreciate the work going into decent voiceover , but I am also someone listening to sci-fi storys on youtube all the time ^^

I looked into it. And all my voices seem to turn off and on just fine. If you tried the muting of MC BEFORE you choose u name. It will play. Once the make your name it mutes. Thats because how renpy characters works in coding.
Tested it myself, but the voices can be turned off as soon as the Commander shows up on screen at the start of the game, before naming. It's just the unnamed prologue bit with the spaceship background that can't be deactivated by a toggle (nor the NPCs, such as the Saboteur that finds the Commander shaking off the cryosleep). In other words - turning off the Commander works great, even before he's named; turning off the unnamed NPCs and the untitled announcer at the start does not (presumably because there's no toggle coded for them).
That being said... one more toggle for "other characters" might be an easy way to set it up, if people just want the named characters to be voiced - just attach anything that's not coded for one of the toggled voices to that last category (including the prologue bit).
In all honesty, from what little I know of Ren'Py coding... going back through to tag all of those would be a living nightmare - and anyone that's going to go as far as wanting to mute that much of the voice acting is probably simply going to use the voice slider to mute the lot, like I did. My original post was just to bring up a potential bug, but I'm all sorted - thank you for looking into it, and thank you for such an auspicious start to a promising game! We're eagerly awaiting more (though, as stated earlier, real life comes first - it's worth the wait). <3
Sorry for the late response XD. I read your post and had my wheels turning a bit. How renpy works with how I did voices there is a voice tag. I think you may have a good idea here. I could have all minor characters under the same voice tag to mute them all. I have jotted this down and will make that change when I can. Probably wont be for a patch or 2 as itch updates lags behind for marketing purposes. So yeah, thanks for the feedback :D
Just to let you know , you might have forgotten to hit a checkbox or something. There is not a download for the Itch app
will we be getting the PC version today as well? there is only the mac version currently
it's a market version. It's both. Itch is wonky at times though.

I release in small updates. Images, animations etc takes time. No regular schedule dates. Just when it's done.
I am really enjoying this game so far, except for one thing. I love having them actually talk, but the music drowns out their voices making it very difficult. There are no settings to adjust volumes. only mute individuals or all characters. Am I missing something?
You can lower music in the settings.
I found it now. Thanks. I wasn't aware of settings that weren't on the screen and I had to scroll down to see them. Got it now. Thanks again!
How do you open this game on Mac?
I imagine extracting the files the same way as on windows.
If the game is just a .exe, then you need wine wrapper in order to run it.
harem or one girl kinda story?
Sorry I missed this reply. Selara is not a harem. Some paths will be a relations with more than 1 girl though.
which girls are solo Li paths?
Any girl can be solo. and a few can be multi.
Is this game still being released on itch.io?
I checked the dev's subscribestar and it seems that update 4 was released a month ago.
It is. I have a 4 split path I am working on based on choices. and each of those split slightly as well. XD also I do work full time at my regular job. ^^

There's a great banger song during the commander shower scene. A real groovy track with great guitars and a some bass-thudding. Is it yours? Or is it possible to find it somewhere on youtube/spotify?

All music can be found in the dedication file. you just have to open it up in a code program ;) it is not my personal music ^_^
